Stock Photography Industry is a huge industry in itself. Stock Photography is the supply of photographs that are licensed for a specific use and purpose. These photographs can be purchased easily for various purposes and delivered online.

1. Macro Stock Photography

    Macro Stock Photography is the high priced photography which are also exclusive. They are also known as Traditional Stock Photography. The photographs used for Macro Stock Photography are extreme close up and small in size as compared to the actual size of the photograph. A Macro Stock Photography is one in which the size of the subject on the negative or image sensor is life size or greater.

2. Micro Stock Photography

    Micro Stock Photography are the images that are low priced, mainly between $0.20 to $10. Few Micro Stock Photography sites also sell Vector Graphics (points, lines, curves, shapes, etc.) and some sell Flash Animations and videos and images. Most companies go for Micro Stock Photography as they are low priced and easily available. They are not patented like the ones in the Premium Stock Photography. 

3. Mid Stock Photography

    Mid Stock Photography is the one that mainly lies between Macro Stock Photography and Micro Stock Photography. They are neither priced high nor are priced at a very low cost. People usually do not usually prefer Mid Stock Photography as the results from them are very disappointing. Also various Mid Stock Photography sites include various Micro Stock Photography which is bad. Why would an individual pay a high price for an image/photograph that he can get a low price and save a lot on costs.
